Tiny Vase in Shino with Stove Ash - Gas-fired
Tiny wheel-thrown vase, glazed in a warm shino and dusted with ash from my studio stove.
This piece is fired in a gas kiln, in a reduction atmosphere. By controlling the amount of oxygen the kiln receives, unique and highly varied results can be achieved, resulting in distinctive colours and textures and speckles.
This tiny vase can be used for little dried stems, feathers and displayed in a little nook or on a shelf.
Stoneware-fired, dishwasher and microwave safe, although hand-washing recommended.
