Harvest Wall-hanging I - Reduction-fired
Wall-hanging made using hand-cut wheat, dandelion, bird anf moon stencils. Glazed in a translucent white and stoneware-fired.
This piece is fired in a gas kiln, in a reduction atmosphere. By controlling the amount of oxygen the kiln receives, unique and highly varied results can be achieved, resulting in distinctive colours and textures and speckles.
The glazes used are made from scratch with raw ingredients that I carefully, weigh, mix and sieve by hand.
Dishwasher and microwave safe. Hand wash recommended.
