Tall Coral-carved Vase
This tall vase is carved and glazed in turquoise and rusty brown. Each indent is carefully carved by hand. This coral-like carving was one of the first textures I created on my pots, inspired by my time as a Marine Biologist researching tropical corals. Now it also represents the encrusting sea marine life I see in Devon’s rock pools and the rusty earth and dimpled rocks of Dartmoor.
A real show stopper vase, perfect for dried flowers, cut stems or just by itself. It can adorn a rustic country cottage table or a contemporary home on an elegant dresser.
The glazes used are made from scratch with raw ingredients that I carefully, weigh, mix and sieve by hand.
