Harvest Jug with Stamped Wildflowers - Reduction-fired
Traditional jug, stamped with my hand-carved flower stamps, glazed in a cream matte and stoneware-fired.
This piece is fired in a gas kiln, in a reduction atmosphere. By controlling the amount of oxygen the kiln receives, unique and highly varied results can be achieved, resulting in distinctive colours and textures and speckles.
Perfect as a table centrepiece for water, cider, wine or something else delicious. Equally beautiful as a vase, holding a bouquet of flowers.
The glazes used are made from scratch with raw ingredients that I carefully, weigh, mix and sieve by hand.
Dishwasher and microwave safe. Hand wash recommended.
