Five Tiny Vases in Pale Stony Moss - Reduction-fired
These little vases come in a set of five. Wheel-thrown in a local, Cornish clay and stoneware-fired.
These pieces are fired in a gas kiln, in a reduction atmosphere. By controlling the amount of oxygen the kiln receives, unique and highly varied results can be achieved, resulting in distinctive colours and textures and speckles.
These vases are perfect for displaying tiny stems, feathers, or nothing at all. Made for nooks and crannies where other vases won’t fit.
The glazes used are made from scratch with raw ingredients that I carefully, weigh, mix and sieve by hand.
